Executive Meeting Minutes

 DATE: September 14, 2006

 Meeting called to order at 5:30 pm.

 Minutes from previous meeting:  postponed to next meeting  MSC

 Treasurer’s report:  postponed to next meeting  MSC

 Committee reports: 

EAP:  nothing to report

EO:  Developing action plans for the TSO.  Working with women contingent and disabilities.  Members are needed when they run events and members should be encouraged to volunteer. .

 Grievance:  on going  Any complaints or grievances ---please contact the Chief Shop Steward Terry Ruyter at 586-4684

 Staffing:  nothing to report

 Membership:  ongoing,  Members need to send address changes, e-mail addresses to Terry Ruyter so that she can update our member list

 OSH:  Complaint rec’d regarding refit.  Ed Painter will take to the OHS meeting on September 19^th.

 Compassion:  Cards have been sent to members that have lost loved ones.  If you know of someone that is sick or has lost a loved one please send an e-mail to Jody Krentz so that a card can be sent on behalf of the Local Union.

 Old Business:

 New Business: 

There is a rumour floating around that the Government is trying to make a settlement with the union for pension Surplus Grab.  Members should check the PSAC website for Updates.  Court case will be in February, 2007.

Members should be checking the PSAC office for educational courses.

Members just received their Newsletter from UTE.  There is a Questionnaire in the newsletter.  The members can return it to the national office or submit it to one of the executive members and we will forward them to the National Office
