Meeting called to order at 5:35 pm.

Minutes from previous meeting: adopted minutes for February and March 2006 - MSC

Treasurer’s report: March deposits and expenses provided - MSC

Committee reports:

EAP: Rep not available

EO: Rep not available

Grievance: numerous grievances still being worked on

Staffing: If there are expressions of interest posted, please ensure that Terry Ruyter obtains a copy of them to ensure the positions are being staffed in our member’s best interest.

Membership: Once new membership kits are received, a presentation to the new members from CUDA

OSH: Appeals will be moving back to the main site in the near future. OSH for Central City will be the responsibility of the Vancouver TSO after the move.

Compassion: A card will be sent to a member who has lost a family member.

Old Business:

Hilde will follow up on an ATIP request mentioned in a previous meeting.

RE: The $500.00 granted to Parveen Deepak to aid in the costs for attending the Triennial Conference: Terry Ruyter who was not at the meeting when the motion was passed, was not in favour of this motion.

New Business:

Discussions took place regarding the fact that the notice for the EO Conference was not posted. As a result of this error an interested member came forwarded after the representatives had been chosen and requested funding to attend the conference.

As per an electronic vote of the executive members, Parveen Deepak will be attending the EO Conference in Victoria as an observer.

Parveen Deepak reported on the Triennial Conference. She has prepared a report which will be attached to the minutes and posted on the local website.

Discussed the local’s webpage. Determined that the website requires updating urgently.

Local Officers Training Course will be presented on June 10, 2006 at The Days Inn. Please notify a member of the executive if you wish to attend.

Hilde prepared a report on the President’s Conference. A copy will be attached to the minutes.
